Taskflexa - About

Taskflexa is a tool I created some time ago to list the changes I need to make in any of my software projects but I wrote it in a general way so that I could also use it to manage for task list for my various hobbies along with DIY / maintenance tasks. I decided to clean up the UI and release it as a beta version.

Taskflexa is a comprehensive task management tool with lots of fields for organizing, group and sorting your tasks. You can add tasks easily and quickly at the bottom of the screen but typing in the task and pressing enter. You can then type in the next one. This is a very quick way of inputting your tasks. If you already have a list of tasks as text then you can add them all at once by using the 'Batch Insert' on the main tool bar at the top.

As you can see in the screen shot the tasks are colour coded depending on their Status, Difficulty, Priority and Progress.The filter box allows you to show on tasks with the text you put in the filter.

You can associate a related file or a URL to each task if you wish. The file or URL can then be opened from the selected task.

Multiple task list can be opened on separate tabs. Task list can be printed. Tasks can also be imported from other task lists create by TaskFlexa. The TaskFlexa files have a .tf1 file extension.

To use Taskflexa just create a local folder and put Taskflexa into it. It will create a configuration file in the same folder as it needs it along with a recently opened files file. Taskflexa is portable like my other tools so it does not require an installation and can therefore be put onto a memory stick to be use between machines.

Feedback on TaskFlexa

This is the beta version of this new tool so expect bugs. If you do get an unexpected error message then contact me and I'll try and fix it as soon as possible. I also have lots of new features planned for this tool so if you would like to see a particular feature let me know so that I can prioritize it if it's already on my list.

As TaskFlexa is a new tool I would appreciate feedback. Let me know if you get any unexpected errors or a feature doesn't work correctly. I've got lots of new features planned for TaskFlexa such as Productivity reports and Export to Excel etc so it would be good to here what kind of things would be useful.
